  • Why do you ask for personal information in addition to my resume?

  • Will my resume be kept confidential?

  • Companies often hire people who aren't a perfect match for an opening. Why are you so picky?

  • I'm not really looking for something new right now. Can you keep me posted?

Why should I work with you?

We are talking to hiring managers who need people everyday.  At any given time we are under contract to fill multiple positions.

When we present you to a hiring manager it will be because we feel your skills and values are right for the position and the position will give you what you want and need. We do not flood the market with your resume. As a matter of fact, we only present you to companies that you approve. Nor do we overwhelm managers with dozens of candidates; we send them only the most qualified. So, you really stand out from the crowd.

Do I have to pay a fee for your services?

No. The client companies pay our fees.

Why couldn't I just post my resume to the Internet and bypass the middleman?

Posting your resume on the Internet may mean that more people see it; but that may not be entirely a good thing. For example, you don't want your boss or Human Resources Manager finding your resume on the Web. (Your company is searching the internet for people with your qualifications to fill their own needs. Your resume will come up in a key word search). Nor do you want recruiters from "resume mills" plucking your resume from the Web and broadcasting it to hundreds of companies without your knowledge.  An employer who gets your resume multiple times suspects that you are desperate.

Working with ICS Partners gives you a number of advantages.  You have full confidentiality; we get your permission before anyone sees your resume. We work with you as a partner to further your career and personal goals. We develop close relationships with hiring managers who trust our judgment, so when we present you, they know they are getting a top player.

Do you fill only management positions?

No. We work with the top 25% of candidates in their fields, at all levels.

However, our technical positions do require a minimum of two to three years of current industry experience.  Almost without exception, a BS or above in an appropriate technical field is also required.

What will happen after I send my resume?

If your qualifications are a good match for a position we are currently searching for, we'll call you back as quickly as possible. We'll set up an appointment to go over your career goals and interests.  We'll also go over anything we have already matched you with to see if it is of interest to you.

If your background fits our area of specialization, but we don't currently have an available position, we will keep your resume confidential and call you for future opportunities.

Why do you ask for personal information in addition to my resume?

A resume only tells what you've already done. We're working on the future. We're not just in business to shuffle people from one company to another and collect a fee. We want to find you a position that has the things you like about what you're currently doing and that improves upon the areas that may be lacking. We also don't want to waste your time or our clients' time sending you on interviews for positions that you can't or won't accept. This can't be done without asking you personal questions.

Will my resume be kept confidential?

Definitely! We will get your permission before sending out your resume anywhere.  We know we are working in a small world. Our success since 1995 has been based on confidentiality with both our client companies and our candidates.  We continue to run our business with the values of Integrity, Commitment and Service.

Do I need to resubmit my resume to be considered for different positions or to keep it active?

No, it's not necessary to submit your resume multiple times for multiple jobs. Nor do you need to resubmit your resume to keep it active. It is a good idea however, to send us an update if the information on your resume changes; for example, if you finish a significant project, gotten a promotion, take on new responsibilities, complete an advanced degree program or changed your address/phone numbers.

Can you help students or recent grads?

Unfortunately, no.  Our clients hire us to find candidates with a minimum of two to three years industry experience, in the same discipline as the position needs.

Do you only work on in your local area?

No, we work nationally.

I'd like to move to Arizona. Can you help me?

Possibly, but only if you are in the top 25% of your field and working in the semiconductor industry.

I've been out of the industry for a while. Should I send my resume?

Usually not, as our clients are looking for people with current work experience in the appropriate industry and discipline.  If you were in the top 25% in your field, with your leave of absence due to extenuating circumstances, we can discuss.

I'm ready for a change of industries. Can you help me?

Usually not.  Our clients are looking for people with current work experience in the appropriate industry and discipline.

Can you help people who need sponsorship to work in the U.S.?

Yes, we can help people who already hold valid H1-B visas with ample time left to complete the green card process.

Companies often hire people who aren't a perfect match for an opening. Why are you so picky?

We spend considerable time with our clients to determine the qualifications they need for a given position.  It is our job to deliver the top candidates in the industry; they count on us to do that.

I'm not really looking for something new right now. Can you keep me posted?

The best way to hear about opportunities that fit your background is submit your confidential resume. As new opportunities open, we go to our own network first. We will only call you for something that looks like a strong match. Possibly the opportunity that's too good to pass up, even if you're not really looking, which is the best time to investigate your options.
